Blackpool Volunteering Commitment
Blackpool’s Volunteering Strategy 2026–2031 sets out a shared ambition: to make Blackpool a place where volunteering is valued, supported and accessible to everyone.
Organisations, groups and partners across Blackpool are invited to show their support by signing the Blackpool Volunteering Commitment — a simple, public pledge to help strengthen volunteering across our town.
By signing this commitment, your organisation agrees to champion the vision and values of the strategy and play an active role in building a stronger, more connected volunteering ecosystem and becomes part of a town‑wide movement to:
-
strengthen community wellbeing
-
support residents into meaningful roles
-
build capacity across sectors
-
create a more connected, resilient Blackpool
"Together, we can make volunteering something everyone feels able to take part in"

3. Invest in Good Volunteer Practice
We will strengthen our policies, training and support to ensure volunteers have a positive experience and can make a real difference.

We will collaborate with Community First and partners across Blackpool, sharing learning, opportunities and challenges to help grow volunteering across the town.
