We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our Volunteer Centre Wyre team member Shabs, whose dedication and passion for supporting young people has made a lasting impact across the community.

Through her inspiring work on the Fleetwood Youth Hub and Positive Futures in Wyre projects, Shabs has helped countless young people build confidence, develop new skills, and take positive steps toward their future. Her friendly approach and commitment to going the extra mile have made her a trusted support for many and a shining example of community spirit in action.

That’s why we were absolutely thrilled to see her hard work and compassion recognised at the Coastal Radio Local Hero Awards, where she was named Local Hero for Wyre. The award celebrates individuals who make a real difference in their local area — and Shabs truly embodies that spirit every single day.
