Fleetwood Youth Hub is celebrating another success as local young person Josh has secured a full-time role with Lytham Council, starting on 23rd May.
Josh was first referred to the Youth Hub on 1st April. Facing a gap in his CV, he turned to the team for support in preparing for the job market. Staff worked closely with him to update his CV and identify opportunities within the industries he wanted to work in.
Determined to make the most of the support on offer, Josh attended every appointment with his work coach, Jenny, and the wider Hub team. He applied for several jobs during his sessions and, when an interview came up, the Hub provided tailored interview preparation to help him feel ready and confident.
His hard work has paid off, and Josh is now looking forward to starting his new role. He shared a heartfelt message with Jenny to thank the team for their help:
“I’ve decided to close my claim – as much as I’d love to come and see you every other week lol. But on a serious note, I really do appreciate the help you’ve given me. It really is massively appreciated, so thanks again. Not a lot of people try with me, so it’s mega appreciated.”
Fleetwood Youth Hub continues to support young people across the area with skills development, job applications, interview practice, and confidence building. Josh’s story is a powerful reminder of how the right support can open the door to new opportunities.
